Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” ... But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.”
The Lord sent them on this mission, knowing they would have a decision to make. He knew how the choices would go and the consequences of this exercise. He knew and He still gave them the opportunity to choose sides.
The people were right in their assessment of the land - there was no way they could take it, alone. and they got stuck on that point. Caleb was right, for God had promised to give the land to them; but only with God leading them could they take possession of the land.
Blush girl, not only is it wonderful that we can do all things with the love and help of the Lord, when we have our eyes firmly fixed on Him, but also to know that He will provide us with all that we need on the journey.
