Revelation 17

“Why are you so amazed?” the angel asked. “I will tell you the mystery...This calls for a mind with understanding"

God's work and words often blow my mind and I am amazed with the magnitude or the mystery of Him.  They sure do call for a mind with understanding...and maybe a heaping helping of discernment and courage, too.

For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2 verse 6

James 1:  But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Only God can supply a mind with understanding; but I must ask, receive and implement the wisdom.  I must use wisdom to interpret God's revelation to me.  This speaks against just receiving the information and, also, against refusing the revelation.  He does not give anything away by accident.  I never just happen across something.  He has the divine field trips planned and in place way before this girl showed up on earth.  I must participate in what He has planned, else I reject God in that moment.

God, I praise You that You are amazing, marvelous and mysterious.  You blow any mind which contemplates You.  Please grant me Your wisdom.  Give me eyes to see and the holy creativity to process what You have for me.  Let me not just step over nor refuse to see.  I want all that You have for me, I want all that You have for my family; sometimes, not quite as much as others, though.  Please strengthen my resolve and my faithfulness for Your glory's sake.  God, You are worth knowing and seeking wisdom from.

Enjoy this video clip which speaks of His amazing mysterious Self.
