Psalm 30

but joy comes with the morning. ...  “I, Jesus, ... I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” (Rev. 22:16)

Yes, You, o Lord, are the Joy that comes in the morning, the bright and Morning Star.  You are the Light which dispels the darkest of nights, of times, of seasons.  I praise You for Your glorious brilliance and Your faithful presence in the tenebrific, sin-craving and consumed world.  You are my Light and my Joy, with You it is always morning.  May I never look more to the stygian surroundings than I do You, my Lucent Lord, my Radiant and Splendiferous Savior.  The Morning-Bringer.
